Acting on behalf of the landlords, BBC Pension Trustees, commercial property surveyors Barker Storey Matthews have just completed the letting of Unit B Harrier Park at Orton Southgate in Peterborough, comprising around 35,750 sq ft, to Tuffnells Parcels Express.

Julian Welch, Director at BSM’s Peterborough office, who dealt with the letting commented “we are delighted to have leased this warehouse property to such a significant national business. Tuffnells had been looking for a base in the City for some time and we were able to offer them the ideal property in an excellent location. Being within Orton Southgate, the tenant is able to access the national motorway network and the Peterborough dual carriageway “Parkway” system very easily, which is crucial to their operation.”

He added “the fact that they chose Peterborough above other locations is further testament to the attraction that the City holds to business. Its strategic location just off the A1, with quick links to the A15, A16, A47 and A14, together with an excellent pool of potential employees and rapid links to London and international airports is in many instances a significant factor when business is considering where to locate. It is great to see another national operator choosing to locate here”.
