Rawlinsons Chartered Accountants, in conjunction with Hegarty Solicitors are hosting a Business Briefing Seminar on 7 May which will cover legal and financial topics that will be beneficial to anyone involved in running a business and those responsible for managing employees. The presentations will cover:

• Introduction & Topical Tax Update, Colin Crowley, Partner, Rawlinsons

• Employment Law Update – Tim Thompson, Partner, Hegarty Solicitors
Tim will provide an overview of employment law changes including the ACAS conciliation rules and costs for unreasonable litigation as well as a general Case Law update.

• Workplace Pensions Explained – Richard Borrington, Consultant, Rawlinsons P.I.P Limited
You may have seen the adverts or received a letter from The Pensions Regulator – Workplace Pensions are here and will affect every single employer, regardless of staff numbers. Richard has already helped many corporate clients tackle their auto-enrolment project and will explain what you have to do, when you have to do it and how much it could cost.

• Consumer Law: The New Legislation – Andrew Heeler, Partner, Hegarty Solicitors
Later this year there will be some new legislation impacting on all contracts between businesses and consumers. Andrew will provide you with an introduction to this new legislation.

Registration begins at 7.30am, and a full English buffet breakfast will be available from 7.30am until 7.50am. The briefing will commence at 8am and the formal presentations and question & answer session will finish around 9.20am.
