Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce are returning to The George Hotel for our annual evening with the Bank of England. It’s a chance to influence monetary policy-makers and hear an expert’s view on current economic challenges and opportunities.
Pam Wright, Deputy Agent for the Bank of England in the East Midlands, will talk about the Bank’s latest forecast for inflation and the economy. Now that the Monetary Policy Committee has proved they can actually increase interest rates, following 10 years of reluctance to do so, the question is will the outlook for inflation require them to raise rates further?
Pam will also look at prospects for growth in the UK economy in amongst the Brexit uncertainties. As always, Pam will be happy to answer questions.
This event sells-out every year so early booking is recommended.
There will also be opportunities for networking with other members of the business community over buffet refreshments.
