How to deal with Workplace Stress

  1. Learn how to relax –Therapies such as mindfulness, yoga, and meditation all help to “switch off” your brain and give it a chance to truly relax.
  2. Eat healthily –Low-fat, high-fibre, carbohydrate-rich meals with plenty of fruits and vegetables. They soothe us without sapping our energy and give us the nutrients we need to boost our immune system.
  3. Talk –More and more people are working in isolation, either on the road or working from home. If you do, make sure you spend time talking to friends, other work colleagues, or join a networking group,
  4. Use the support available– If your company offers wellbeing services, employee supervision or counselling services use them. You may not think your “problem” is big enough to speak to someone but wellbeing services should be used as a preventative measure. Talking to someone about the small issues can prevent them from becoming a major problem.
