The Mission Possible Careers Show is the East of England’s largest skills and careers event. In 2018 the event will be held on Thursday 21st June, from 9:00am to 3:30pm, once again at the East of England Arena.
A record-breaking 6,000 visitors from 38 schools across the region attended in 2017, finding inspiration for their future careers in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
Targeted at 14-24 year olds, the event is organised by Opportunity Peterborough’s Skills Service team and aims to:
Sector-specific exhibitor ‘zones’ help to guide the experience for visitors, with interactive exhibits and activities that provide a valuable insight into what it is like to work in different sectors.
Mandy Baker, from Manor Fresh Limited, exhibited last year and said afterwards:
“The Careers Show provided a unique platform to promote our work to schools across the region.”
Hannah Del Ponte, from The College of Osteopaths, also commented:
“We left the event knowing we had spoken to many young people and potentially opened their eyes to a career they hadn’t considered before.”
Another key change for this year is the introduction of two hour pre-booked visitor slots for school groups to ensure a steady flow of students throughout the day and prevent any over-crowding. Schools from across the East of England have been invited.
