Director of Services

With a team of circa 60 staff working across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Shine provides services to people whose lives are affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, or associated conditions.

Shine is seeking an exceptional candidate to join our Senior Management Team, to lead and develop the services we offer, to give people a greater voice, and to enable access to information, advice and support to enhance their health, well-being and successes in life.  

As Director of Services, you will lead a team of Service Managers, who have responsibility for developing and delivering services in their regions or in areas of work.  

You will have excellent communication skills, with experience of managing change and developing and delivering service improvements.  You will inspire colleagues, and those we work with to bring our vision and goals set out in our Corporate Plan 2017 -2022 to life.  

We realise this will be challenging, and it won’t happen without outstanding leadership, nor without the personal gravitas consistent with a directorate role. This is a fantastic opportunity and with the right person, this role will ensure Shine’s position as the leading European charity in our field.

In return, your remuneration package will include a competitive salary, 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension scheme and life assurance.
