Having recorded its most successful year to date, Cross Keys Homes’ Annual Report is now available to download from its website.
In the financial year 2017/18, Cross Keys Homes increased its turnover to £72.1m and built 432 new homes, 132 more than the year before. It also opened its second extra care scheme, Lapwing Court, and a 53 unit short stay accommodation unit, in partnership with Peterborough City Council.
The housing association also entered two exciting joint ventures – with Kier Living and created Medesham Homes with Peterborough City Council, to help build even more affordable homes for the future.
Cross Keys Homes prides itself on being more than just a landlord, and in the last year they supported 986 people into employment, entered an exciting partnership with NCT to support new mums in Peterborough, and helped 112 vulnerable residents through the New Horizons and Community Connections projects.
Cross Keys Homes’ Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, said: “This year has been a really amazing one for us here at CKH. We are doing so much more than ever before – building more homes and communities, working in more geographical areas, whilst continuing to support and enable more people to live independent lives in their own homes. We have also this year opened CKH Customer Central shop on Bridge Street to help make all our services even more accessible to people.
“These figures are just the headlines, there is so much more our dedicated CKH team do every day – helping people to get online and grow their skills and confidence, supporting tenants through the changes of welfare reform and Universal Credit, and continually ensuring our homes and communities are safe, well maintained places that people really enjoy living in. Our Annual Report shows how we are really ‘Leading the Way’ and creating as many opportunities as possible to positively change lives.”
