Cross Keys Homes (CKH) has once again proved its determination to keep building affordable homes by appearing in the prestigious Inside Housing Top 50 Biggest Builders ranking for the fourth year running.
Featuring at number 44, CKH ranks alongside many organisations much larger than itself, illustrating the strength of CKH’s development power for its size.
Despite the impact of the coronavirus crisis on the development sector, CKH is also proud to retain its position in the top 50 for homes in the pipeline, demonstrating its commitment to the future supply of affordable housing in the region.
CKH completed 372 homes in 2019/20, of which 187 were for affordable rent and 164 were for shared ownership. These were located in CKH’s home city of Peterborough and right across the east of England and home counties, where house prices are prohibitively expensive for many and affordable housing in desperately short supply.
Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, said: “If the recent pandemic has taught us anything, it is the importance of the need for great housing for all. At CKH we know how important good quality homes are, for individuals, families and communities, but lockdown has really highlighted this to everyone. I am determined that as an organisation we will keep building affordable homes, both for rent and to enable people to access affordable home ownership, no matter what the challenges we face. Featuring in this prestigious ranking is a great indication that we are doing all we can to build the housing that people need.”
