Matt Gladstone, the newly appointed chief executive of Peterborough City Council, will be speaking to local businesses on 25 February during the next Bondholder Breakfast organised by economic development company, Opportunity P.
Taking place at Peterborough Museum, delegates will get complementary access to the Urban exhibition for a chance to see works by world renowned artists like Banksy, Damien Hirst, and My Dog Sighs.
At a critical time for the city’s economic recovery and Peterborough City Council itself, attendees will get unprecedented access to the new chief executive to find out his plans for supporting local businesses. There is also the opportunity to take part in a Q&A portion.
Tom Hennessy, chief executive of Opportunity Peterborough said, “Giving our members access to local decision makers is a core part of our network offer, and our economic development role. We’re delighted that Matt is so keen to engage with business leaders.
“As the economy recovers it’s essential that businesses are supported effectively by the council so they can access and develop the skills and infrastructure they need to continue delivering jobs and prosperity.”
Matt Gladstone, chief executive of Peterborough City Council, said, “Peterborough has a robust economy and I’m very excited about the potential we can unlock.
“As a council we can help open up a lot of doors but only by collaborating with local businesses. I want to see continued investment in the city and for us to leverage the full power of our assets and future plans; the new university and the Business Improvement District are just two of the many projects on the horizon that can ramp up the city’s growth and create more opportunities for our residents.”
The event will run 7.30am – 9.00am at Peterborough Museum on 25 February. Attendance is free of charge exclusively for members of the Bondholder Network. Businesses can join the network online at: https://www.opportunitypeterborough.co.uk/register/
