Cross Keys Homes’ care service, Cross Keys Care, is celebrating today having won the prestigious ‘Care Employer’ award in the Great British Care Awards, Eastern Region.
Care Worker, Debbie Lovett, also won the Care Newcomer award, recognising the journey she has been on since joining the organisation with no prior care experience. Debbie’s passion and dedication shone through from day one, and she is now an integral part of the team, valued by managers, colleagues and service users alike.
Cross Keys Care takes a totally ‘people focused’ approach to its business, and that relates as much to employees as service users. Its focus is not just about delivering exceptional care to clients but also on teamwork and helping employees achieve their full potential.
Care workers are the heart of the company and Cross Keys Care continually invests in them. Its training programme encompasses apprentices and trainee care workers, NVQ’s and care specific training, offering a clear learning pathway with promotion opportunities for those who wish to progress their career.
Cross Keys Care has been operating for nine years and in that time the service has become Peterborough’s leading provider of independent living solutions, offering two extra care schemes, community care for people in their own homes and their LifeLine emergency alarm system. Their person centred care puts the client’s needs at the heart of the service and is able to combine technology and traditional personal care to ensure people are able to live the life they want, in their own home.
Cross Keys Care’s extra care community, Kingfisher Court was also recognised in the Home Care Team award.
Claire Higgins, Chief Executive of Cross Keys Homes, said of the award wins: “Cross Keys Care is dedicated to excellence in everything we do, and it is fantastic to have this commitment recognised. As one of Peterborough’s leading employers, we value our employees enormously and will always try to help them to achieve their full potential. Debbie has shown just what can be achieved with her own dedication and the support of a great team behind her and we are all thrilled for her.”
