CCEP’s Customer Hub in Peterborough is delighted to announce that YMCA Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will be its Charity of the Year for 2017-2018.
YMCA Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is a local charity committed to supporting young people and their families through a comprehensive range of programmes and services. These are focused around its five core strategic areas of accommodation, family work, training and education, health and wellbeing, and support and advice. This ensures that the YMCA delivers on its charitable aim of helping young people to grow and reach their potential to be a proactive member of an inclusive community.
The partnership will involve the staff at CCEP’s Customer Hub, based in Woodston Peterborough, hosting a number of charitable events and activities with all proceeds going to the YMCA service locally.
Jonathan Martin, CEO of YMCA Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, said: “YMCA is thrilled to be named Charity of the Year by CCEP’s Customer Hub. We’re looking forward to working with their team on their charitable activities to raise awareness and funds for services locally.
“It’s a real bonus for us to be working so closely with one of the city’s biggest employers and their staff. We know that with our shared value of believing in the potential of people and communities, we can showcase positive activities, highlight some of the issues facing young people and have some fun too!”
Alison Gibson, Senior Manager at CCEP’s Customer Hub: “We are very excited to have selected YMCA as our charity of the year and have worked with them to come up with lots of fantastic ideas for fundraising. It’s great to see so many of our team show an interest in the YMCA and the excellent work it does across Peterborough. I know that we will all enjoy ourselves and raise lots of money so that the excellent work can continue.”
