Cross Keys Care shortlisted in Housing with Care Awards

Cross Keys Homes, along with its care service, Cross Keys Care, is celebrating being shortlisted in the prestigious national Housing with Care Awards.

Cross Keys Care has been shortlisted in the Employer Award for the focus it places on its employees, their wellbeing, training and its continuous investment in their people. Its training programme encompasses apprentices and trainee care workers, NVQ’s and care specific training. Cross Keys Care offers a clear learning pathway with many promotion opportunities for those who wish to progress. It also takes the care of its employees seriously, operating an ‘open door’ policy, with managers always available for suport and advice.

As the city’s leading provider of independent living solutions, Cross Keys Care combines supported housing with the latest technology in telecare, and traditional personal care to ensure older and vulnerable people are able to enjoy living the life they want to in their own homes. They also provide two extra care schemes in Peterborough, Kingfisher Court and Lapwing Apartments – helping to provide the independence of living in your own home, but with the reassurance of a little more support and care on hand.

Claire Higgins, Chief Executive of Cross Keys Homes, said of the news: “Both Cross Keys Homes and Cross Keys Care are dedicated to excellence in everything we do, and it is fantastic to have this commitment recognised. We provide a truly people focused service – for our residents, service users and our employees. Without great employees we wouldn’t have the service we do or the happy residents and customers! I’m delighted that we have been recognised as great employer.”

All the finalists will now go forward to the national Housing with Care Awards being held in London this June.
