Employers in the region will have the opportunity to witness a disciplinary hearing and learn about the pitfalls to avoid at a seminar being run by leading law firm Roythornes.
The seminar, which takes place on April 21st at the Kingsgate Conference centre, will take the audience through a mock disciplinary procedure – enabling them to witness first-hand how one should be run.
Speaking about the event, Solicitor Maz Dannourah said:
“We want to make the event as useful as possible and by having a mock disciplinary procedure the audience will be able to see first-hand how to behave and what procedures they must follow. If employers do not follow set procedures there can be serious consequences so it’s vital that they know what they are doing.”
Members of the Roythornes team will take on roles of the employees and managers during the hearing with the audience being asked to decide on the outcome before an open discussion about the scenario generally. To add to the realism, delegates will be sent copies of letters and statements before the event so that they are fully aware of the scenario,
Maz continued:
“We hope it’s enjoyable, but just as importantly we hope that the delegates go back to the office with a greater understanding and confidence so that they can handle a hearing should one arise.”
The seminar is free to attend and employers can register via the Roythornes web site at roythornes.co.uk
