Smart Home Charge is a rapidly growing business in an exciting and fast-paced industry. We sell and install electric car charge points for the home. In a short space of time, we have seen a 300% increase in enquiries and installations, so we need to expand our customer support team – that’s where you come in.

As the first point of customer contact, we’re looking for someone who enjoys advising customers on their purchase but is also able to remain calm in a busy working environment or when dealing with customer complaints.

You’ll be joining a lively and supportive team in an industry that is fast growing and in a business that is quickly growing with it, bringing new career opportunities for you.

Your responsibilities:

• Respond to customer calls/emails and offer genuinely useful advice to customers who are completely new to the concept of electric cars
• Increase sales by offering fantastic advice and service to customers on the phone and by email
• Process website enquiries quickly so customers receive a speedy service from us
• Liaise with in-house electrician regarding quotations or other technical questions
• Liaise with charger manufacturers to order and dispatch chargers
• Assist customers throughout the purchasing and installation process
• Work with marketing manager to help increase sales and improve customer experience

Your qualities:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent admin skills to manage customer orders
• Highly motivated and able to see growth potential of business and your own career
• Good grasp English spelling, punctuation and grammar when emailing customers
• A desire to learn more about electric cars and car charging market
• Prior knowledge or interest in electric cars is a bonus!

Smart Home Charge is a part of Response EPR Ltd, a nationally recognised electrical contractor with a proven track record of more than 30 years’ experience in delivering electrical services. We do not use outside contractors and all of our mobile workforce of fully qualified electrical technicians are DBS checked and trained to work in occupied homes. We carry out EV (Electric Vehicle) charger installations across England, Scotland and Wales with locally based engineers covering all area and postcodes.

Smart Home Charge is a Government OLEV-approved installer of EV chargers. We help customers compare and choose the ideal electric car charger to suit their vehicle, home and budget.

Because we are OLEV-approved, our customers can receive £500 towards the cost of their charger and installation if eligible.

We are a fast-growing business and have just moved into new, larger premises to allow for further expansion of our team and company. We’re looking for new team members who are passionate about their own career development and keen to help grow the business.
