Time is running out to book your free stand at this year’s Careers Show to showcase your organisation and help inspire the workforce of the future. Taking place at the East of England Showground in Peterborough on Friday 23rd June 2017, from 9:30am to 3:30pm, the event already has over 2,500 students booked to attend.
The aim of the Careers Show is to inform and inspire young people aged 14 to 24 about the wide range of career opportunities on offer, both locally and beyond, helping to their raise aspirations. Exhibitors will be divided into experience zones based around key sectors and are asked to bring along inspiring and interactive ‘Have a Go’ activities to engage visitors, providing a unique chance to try out a variety of skills and get a feel for what it would be like to work in different industries.
Throughout the day, college students and experts will be demonstrating vocational skills through ‘Skills Competition Showcases’ and there will be the opportunity to meet ‘Skills Champions’, young people who have excelled in technical skills, as well as a drop-in ‘CV Bootcamp’. Music and dance acts will be performing in a ‘Creative Zone’ to complete a fun and engaging atmosphere, with several refreshment and picnic areas on site for taking a well-earned break.
