Nearly a year after Alison Sharp was presented with a cheque for £1,000 following her participation in some market research sponsored by housebuilder Larkfleet Homes (www.larkfleethomes.co.uk) she is now purchasing a property at the company’s Leighfield Park development in Oakham.
The market research, carried out by Peterborough-based marketing communications company Metrix Marketing (www.metrixmarketing.co.uk), offered people entry in to a £1,000 prize draw in return for a few minutes of their time to talk about their experiences searching for a new home.
As an Oakham resident, Alison’s feedback involved a discussion of Larkfleet’s Leighfield Park showhome and how impressed she was with the quality of the development and helpful sales team. Alison’s details were then drawn from over 100 entries to win the £1,000 prize.
Alison was so impressed with the quality of Larkfleet’s three showhomes on site that, nearly one year later, she has decided to purchase one of them and make it her new family home.
Alison said: “I was really struck by the quality of Larkfleet’s properties when I started house hunting last year. The quality of the fixtures and fittings and the overall condition of the properties remained with me for some time and this, coupled with the location of Leighfield Park, made a move here seem like the right choice for us.
“My husband was also very impressed with the PV panels that were included with the property as we both think that sustainability is an important consideration.”
Leighfield Park is part of Oakham Heights, Larkfleet’s major urban expansion of Oakham, located on land between the Oakham bypass and Barleythorpe Road.
The development offers one, two, three, four and five bedroom properties and is aimed at families looking for a stylish, traditional home that allows them to enjoy rural life while still benefiting from good transport links to surrounding towns and cities.
Alison added, “The location of the development is ideal for us too as it is just a short walk from the local school.”
Larkfleet CEO Karl Hick said: “It is great to hear that our properties have such a positive impact on potential buyers and it is a credit to our sales teams on site that members of the public find visiting a Larkfleet development such a pleasant experience.”
Larkfleet recently released 10 three-bedroom properties and 24 one and two-bedroom apartments for purchase at Leighfield Park, much earlier that it previously anticipated.
The government’s Help to Buy scheme, which allows homebuyers to potentially own 100 per cent of their new home with just a 75 per cent mortgage and 5 per cent deposit, is available at Leighfield Park.
All houses also have solar PV (photovoltaic) panels fitted as standard so homebuyers can benefit from reduced energy bills and generate an income from selling their excess energy to the grid under the government’s Feed in Tariff scheme. The PV panels will produce electricity from daylight, generating useable power even on cloudy days.
There is also an electric car charging point on site for resident and public use.
