RUTLAND HOMEOWNERS TO BE OFFERED FREE ADVICE ON ESCAPING PROPERTY CHAINS

A team of housing and finance experts will be offering advice to homebuyers caught in a ‘chain’ of buyers and sellers during a special weekend on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 January.

Sales advisors will be available all weekend at Larkfleet Homes’ (www.larkfleethomes.co.uk) Leighfield Park development in Oakham. The event aims to provide homebuyers who are looking to purchase a property, but are struggling to sell their current home, the chance to speak to experts about ways to break free of the chain.

For example, Larkfleet might take homeowners’ existing property in part-exchange for a new Larkfleet home. The company’s Ezy-exchange scheme not only means that purchasers avoid being part of a chain but also that there are no estate agents’ fees for selling their current property.

Financial advisors will also be on hand at Leighfield Park during the weekend to answer any questions visitors may have about the financial implications of buying a home.

Karl Hick, Larkfleet’s managing director, commented: “I would urge anyone looking to purchase a property with a home still to sell to visit our Leighfield Park development in Oakham on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 January and find out how Ezy-exchange or other buying options could work for them.”

Leighfield Park is the first phase of Oakham Heights, Larkfleet’s major urban expansion of Oakham, located on land between the Oakham bypass and Barleythorpe Road. The development currently offers traditionally-styled three, four and five-bedroom properties with prices starting from just £184,995 for a three-bedroom Wexford property type.

The development is aimed at families looking for a stylish, traditional home that allows them to enjoy rural life while still benefiting from good transport links to surrounding towns and cities.

All 143 properties at Leighfield Park will have solar PV (photovoltaic) panels fitted as standard so homebuyers can benefit from reduced energy bills. The PV panels will produce electricity from daylight, generating useable power even on cloudy days. Larkfleet will also provide allotment gardens for residents to encourage a sustainable lifestyle and community.
