 AMADEUS Food – catering partners of the East of England Arena and Events Centre – has scooped a top industry award following a record-breaking year for the company.

Amadeus celebrated double success at the coveted SLC Awards 2017 held at BAFTA in London earlier this week.

The awards celebrate sports and leisure caterers taking food and beverage to new heights in this fast-paced and inventive industry.

The Amadeus team was awarded the SLC Caterer of the Year title, delivering an impressive year of growth which saw it secure a record amount of new contracts totalling over £30m.

New clients for the company include the East of England Arena and Events Centre in a deal worth £4.4 million earlier this year.

Under the three-year contact, Amadeus will provide all hospitality catering at the venue, including weddings, banquets and corporate events across the venue’s newly refurbished conference centre, arena and exhibition centre.

Richard Tate, EEAEC chairman, said: “Following the extensive investment in our buildings and infrastructure earlier this year, we also wanted to invest strongly in the services that help create an outstanding experience for exhibitors and visitors alike.

Neil Ashton, Executive Chef for Amadeus at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) also took home the Chef of the Year Award.
